Malan Breton has been called "The Most Influential Designer You've Never Heard Of" by by British VOGUE. Originating from Taipei, Taiwan, he is known as a fashion designer, TV and film costumer, a film and music video director, musician, animator, technologist, screenwriter, columnist, artist, composer, fashion photographer, and TV/film producer. Breton's journey in fashion began 30 years ago on the storied streets of Savile Row, where he honed the art of mens bespoke tailoring under the guidance of a Royal Warrant-holding tailor. His approach to womenswear was later shaped by a rare and remarkable lineage—training under the last great American couturier of the 20th century, whose own pedigree traces back to the revered House of Paquin in Paris, and the visionary Charles James. Breton, the designers, focus in fashion has been to highlight Philanthropic causes, One most dear to his work, is Alzheimers and Dementia related illness. Malan Breton received a personal invitation to present collections to The British Royal Family, in partnership with The Government of Taiwan, the Royal Family of Bahrain, and has been presented by invitation at NYFW, LFW, Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, MQ Vienna Fashion Week, Athens Fashion Week, Bangkok Fashion Week, and Shenzhen Fashion Week. His work has also been featured in films, TV shows, concerts, and red carpets such as the The Met Gala, The TONY Awards, the Academy Awards, the SAG Awards, The Golden Globes, Cannes, BAFTA's, The Royal Variety Performance, The American Music Awards, the NTA’s, The Brits, The Voice UK, RuPauls Drag Race, Strictly Come Dancing, the Oliviers, and in 2024, was part of a lifetime achievement honour at the 61st Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan, presented by Film Director Ang Lee to honour Icon, and legendary actress Pei Pei Chang.
In 2025 Breton directed and animated his fifth film "Radiant Dreamer, I'll Find you in the Moon" in collaboration with Seiko in celebration of their 140th Anniversary, the film was an official selection at the London Fashion Film Festival, and received nominations for best 2d/3d Animation. In 2024, Breton directed his fourth fashion film, titled “Je Suis Mona”, which has received awards and honours internationally. Additionally, his film “Immortal” won multiple awards and was BAFTA Qualifying. As a Designer Malan Breton Received the FGI (Fashion Group International) "Rising Star" in 2016, the European Fashion Council Award for Most Promising new designer in 2010, was nominated for The WGSN Global Fashion Award in 2011, and was named "British Fashion Designer of the Year" in 2022 by S.A.L., he has also received numerous awards for his work in film, costume design, TV production, philanthropy, and Music.

In late 2025, Breton began production on the musical/martial arts feature film 莉莉, which will be filmed in Taiwan. Breton will direct, choreograph, costume, score, and animate the live-action film. The film is rooted in Aikido, a dynamic and graceful martial art that Malan Breton first began practicing as a child, deeply influencing his understanding of discipline, movement, and balance
As a musician, Breton's debut single soared to the top ten on the French pop charts. Breton has also released a series of classical contemporary albums, with his second album titled “Chansons d'Amour Éternel” and his third “Silent Melancholy”. A fourth album, “Gold”, released in the spring of 2025.
Breton is also the first fashion designer to design fashion for video game features, including WWE and NBC’s "Minute to Win It". He has designed work uniforms for the Taiwan ROC Government, costumes for WWE, Wardrobe for MEGU, and has performed in and costumed shows on and off Broadway. He has danced for Paula Abdul and performed as a male ballet danseur from his youth .
Malan Breton devotes much of his efforts to education and philanthropy.
He has lectured and mentored students from Universities like Princeton, PRATT, WGSN, Central Saint Martins, Fashion Institute of Technology NY, Instituto Marangoni, Shi Chien University, University of Southampton Winchester School of Art, London College of Fashion, has lectured for Taiwan's minister of education office, lectured before the President of Taiwan, and has helped to bring awareness to the indigenous people of Taiwan, particulary the Tao, and Amis tribes. He has also spoken in The Houses of Parliament UK, in the House of Commons and the House of Lords, spoken and closed the NASDAQ, Lectured and mentored at the Smithsonian - Cooper Hewitt, for VOGUE Taiwan, the inaugural Taipei Fashion Week and many many others. His Collection has been featured at PS1 MOMA, the Museum at FIT, and “ Taiwan Traditional Theater Center, Museum of Taiwan Fashion”,
He also served as a cultural Ambassador appointed by the government of Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
